Made in Hungaria is festival favourite in the USA!
Gergely Fonyó’s musical, Made in Hungaria, continues its successful festival tour.
Since its premiere in Hungary, this rock'n'roll musical has gone on to appear at no less than 30 international film festivals including Karlovy Vary, Montreal, Cairo and Dubai where it had the honour of being the first Hungarian film to participate.
Made in Hungaria appears as a guest film this week in both Minneapolis and Washington. Running from 15-30 April, the Minneapolis Film Festival is being held for the 28th time, bringing together 145 films from 60 different countries.
The Washington DC Film Festival can boast a similar history and celebrates its 24th birthday this year between 15-25 April and has invited 80 films to party.
“There’s nothing better than a good film and there’s nothing better than providing a chance for a collection of filmmakers to present their message in their own language whether it’s drama or comedy” - Anthony Gittens, chairman of the Washington DC Film Festival.
Made in Hungaria recently received the Audience Prize at the Granada Film Festival in Spain.
